The A’s, an organization that’s incorporated an elephant in its logo for more than a hundred years, are putting limits on the snack most associated with the pachyderm.
Beginning Friday night, the A’s will have a peanut-free zone for each of their home games at the Coliseum, making life easier for their fans with peanut allergies.
According to a survey on www.bestallergysites.com, the A’s will become the only team in Major League Baseball to offer a peanut-controlled area for every home game. The Giants hosted three peanut-allergy friendly games last season. The Toronto Blue Jays, who have designated 15 home games as peanut-reduced, had offered the most of any team.
