NEW YORK — The rain eventually ceased, but the A’s offense was kept under wraps.
After a rain delay that lasted two hours and 40 minutes, the A’s found themselves in a hole early and went down quietly in Sunday’s 6-2 loss to the Yankees.
Brett Anderson was in trouble from the beginning. The left-hander allowed the first four Yankees batters reach base in the first as he allowed three runs to score, which ended up being more than enough runs.
