CLEVELAND — The offense was a big part of the A’s successful month of June that saw the club go 17-10. Hitters came up clutch in several late-inning situations, but all those comeback victories would also have not bee possible without a lights-out bullpen.
Blake Treinen is the pitcher who gets the most recognition, as he should. The closer is pretty much a lock to make his first All-Star team this year, sitting with a 0.84 ERA as he’s converted his last 19 save opportunities in a row and 22 saves overall this season.
But the bridge to Treinen has been just as dominant.
