OAKLAND -- It says something about his desire to move forward that A's right fielder Danny Valencia was more annoyed at an official scorer's decision denying him a two-run single than he was that he and Billy Butler didn't get a chance to talk in the wake of a fight last week.
Butler addressed the media concerning the fight before Wednesday's 5-1 win over Cleveland and apologized on an individual basis to his teammates Tuesday. He wanted time to talk with Valencia, who put Butler on the seven-day concussion disabled list during a brief fight Friday in Chicago, but it didn't happen Wednesday.
