A’s continue streak against Giants with a 5-4 win

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. – Matt Joyce homered in his second consecutive start and Ryon Healy added a two-run double as the A’s toppled the Giants, 5-4.

Down 4-0 after two innings, the Giants tied the game in the seventh before Simon Castro came out of the Oakland bullpen to quiet things down. He went on to get the win when Adam Rosales put the A’s ahead with a bases-loaded walk in the eighth.

Oakland, the last-place team in the American League West the last two seasons, has now won 18 of its last 24 games against the Giants, including eight in a row in Arizona, during which they are 5-0 in Scottsdale Stadium.
