ANAHEIM – Oakland lost a six-run lead early and a one-run lead late, before taking a 10-9 loss to the Los Angeles Angels on Wednesday at Angel Stadium.
A’s reliever Lou Trivino gave up a walk-off hit to Dustin Garneau with two out in the bottom of the ninth. Trivino got the first two batters out in the bottom of the ninth before giving up a single to Brian Goodwin. Goodwin stole second and Garneau hit a shot off the wall in left to end the game.
Trailing 8-7 in the top of the eighth inning, the A’s (30-31) scored twice in the frame to take a short-lived 9-8 lead.
