ARLINGTON, Texas - He took a 105-mph liner off his lower right leg Tuesday night, but A’s closer Blake Treinen said not only that he was fine the following day but also that he believed he’d be available to pitch in the finale against the Rangers if needed.
“Honestly, it’s not much of a bruise right now,” Treinen said. “Probably in a couple of days, I think. And if not, then praise the Lord, because that was pretty hard off my leg.”
Treinen said the most disconcerting thing was that he lost the feeling in his leg after the drive by Shin-Soo Choo hit him in the eighth inning.
