OAKLAND -- The A's on Tuesday found a starter through the waiver wire, claiming right-hander Parker Bridwell from the Angels.
Bridwell has potential to produce a bounce-back campaign after missing chunks of the 2018 season with elbow issues. His numbers between Los Angeles (17.55 ERA in five games) and Triple-A Salt Lake (8.68 ERA in six starts) were ugly, but he's not that far removed from a '17 season that saw him go 10-3 with a 3.64 ERA in 21 games (20 starts) for the Angels.
Still just 27, Bridwell was originally selected by the Orioles in the ninth round of the 2010 Draft.
