A’s catcher Bruce Maxwell was arrested in Arizona for allegedly pointing a gun at a female food delivery worker.
Maxwell, 26, was booked Saturday night by Scottsdale police on charges of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and disorderly conduct.
Police said they visited Maxwell’s house after receiving a call about someone with a gun. He was held in custody and awaiting an appearance in front of a judge.
The arrest was first reported by TMZ, which also reported early this week that Maxwell, after returning home to Harvest, Ala., was refused service by a waiter who recognized Maxwell as the first big-leaguer to kneel during the national anthem.
