A’s catcher Bruce Maxwell was arrested for aggravated assault by police at his home in Scottsdale, Arizona on Saturday.
Maxwell allegedly pulled a gun on a female food delivery worker. Scottsdale police were called to Maxwell’s home and made the arrest at 6:08 p.m. In addition to being booked on aggravated assault charges with a deadly weapon, Maxwell was also charged with disorderly conduct, according to TMZ Sports.
Maxwell remains detained where he is awaiting an appearance in front of a judge.
Maxwell made national headlines in September after becoming the first player in Major League Baseball to take a knee during the national anthem.
