The Oakland A’s have a new reliever in the bullpen.
The A’s called up Cam Bedrosian from Triple-A Las Vegas on Friday, the team announced.
The right-hander was not on the 40-man roster, so to make room starter Mike Fiers was transferred from the 10-day injured list to the 60-day. To clear a spot on the active 26-man roster, lefty reliever Adam Kolarek was optioned to Triple-A.
The A’s signed Bedrosian three weeks ago, to a non-roster minor league free agent contract. Oakland fans might recognize him from his seven years in the Angels pen, but the Halos let him go last winter and he was picked up by the Reds.
