A’s beat Brewers 3-1 behind Severino’s strong start

The A’s beat the Brewers on Saturday afternoon, beating Milwaukee 3-1 to improve the team’s record to 10-11.

Facing former A’s prospect Chad Patrick, the team only managed a few hits through the game’s first three innings. The Brewers meanwhile scored a run off starting pitcher Luis Severino in the third to give Milwaukee the first lead of the day. That would be the only damage the Brewers would manage against Severino as the right-hander pitched eight innings and allowed just two more hits the rest of the day. He only managed one strikeout but also didn’t give any free passes away.
