A's agree to terms with LHP Doubront; non-tender 1B Davis

The Oakland A’s agreed to terms with left-handed pitcher Felix Doubront on a one-year contract for the 2016 season, avoiding arbitration, the club announced on Wednesday. The A’s did not tender a contract to first baseman Ike Davis, making him a free agent, and outrighted left-handed pitcher Daniel Coulombe to Nashville.

Doubront was released by Chicago (NL) during spring training, signed a minor league deal with Toronto April 2 and was traded to Oakland for cash considerations July 31. He combined with Toronto and Oakland to go 3-3 with a 5.50 ERA in 16 games, including 12 starts.
