OAKLAND — With the possible future of the franchise watching from a suite, the A’s continued to take it on the chin against division opponents in an 8-4 loss to the Los Angeles Angels Friday night at the Coliseum.
First-round draft pick Kyler Murray signed a contract and was introduced to the media, after which he took some batting practice practice and then settled in to watch the game with his family.
Murray was shown on the big screen to the fireworks night crowd of 18,356 in the second inning and then left the premises after witnessing an error-plagued loss, not to return to the organization until he’s completed one last season of football as a quarterback for the University of Oklahoma.
