OAKLAND – Coco Crisp isn’t ready to retire.
That doesn’t mean that you will see him at a ballpark soon, however.
It’s been clear since his trade to Cleveland last Aug. 31 that the center fielder wouldn’t have a gig with the A’s – Oakland hasn’t had a spring training camp without Crisp since 2009 – but he doesn’t have a job anywhere else, either.
He says for the moment he’s staying around the house in Southern California, working out with his children and his cousin, Jason, now at College of the Desert and who could be a prospect down the road.
