The Oakland A's are experiencing another chapter in the team's seemingly never-ending battle with its own stadium.
After repeated instances of sewage backup and flooding leading to MLB commissioner Bud Selig dubbing the O.co Coliseum "a pit," the fans in Oakland have had to deflect numerous jokes about one of the oldest and least-aesthetically pleasing ball parks in the Majors.
Then, this happened on Saturday night versus the Yankees:
The Yankees/A's game has been delayed for 20 minutes now because the lights went out in Oakland pic.twitter.com/u6QX5ClexI

Of course, this sent Twitter into "how many Oakland jokes can we fit on the Internet" mode:
LET'S LOOK AT THE POSITIVES HERE: LIGHTS WENT OUT AT NIGHT IN OAKLAND AND NOBODY GOT STABBED. — NOT BUSTER OLNEY (@TRIPPINGOLNEY) June 15, 2014
The lights going out is a step in the right direction from a flood of raw sewage, so nice job, Oakland.

Lights out at the Oakland Coliseum. Where the #Athletics don't need a new stadium. (CC: Bud Selig) pic.twitter.com/bJjd22X68q — Casey Pratt (@CaseyPrattCSN) June 15, 2014
The lights went out in Oakland so now the game is delayed... A. why does the stadium still exist? B. why was this game played at night?

“Lights out in Oakland” means something totally different… #Athletics — Jonathan Bare (@nakedmac) June 15, 2014
Drinks are served until the 7th inning! Lot of drunk people on Oakland tonight! #Athletics #lightsout

The game would resume after a 30 minute (or so) delay.
