The Notre Dame Fighting Irish women’s soccer team is on fire at the moment. After starting the season with a loss to the Michigan State Spartans, the Irish have gone 10-0-3. The last two games for the #12 ranked Notre Dame squad were Top 25 wins over a pair of ACC newcomers; #25 Cal Bears (5-2) and #6 Stanford Cardinal (3-0).

Speaking of newcomers... the Irish have a superstar in the making with freshman Izzy Engle.

Engle, a midfielder from Edina, Minnesota, has a really good high school career. She was named as the Gatorade Girls Soccer Player of the Year in Minnesota, and helped lead her school to a 22-0 perfect record and state championship.
