LOWELL, Mass. — After a hard fought night that ended in a tie on Friday, the UMass Lowell River Hawks were able to grab two points from the Notre Dame Fighting Irish on Saturday night, 3-1.
“We’re excited to come out on top tonight,” said UMass Lowell Head Coach Norm Bazin. “I thought several things improved from yesterday. [Notre Dame] is certainly a good team and I’m glad to get points in Hockey East.”
The River Hawks and Fighting Irish went scoreless through the first period.
