The Notre Dame Fighting Irish aren’t done with the transfer portal just yet. On Wednesday, Northwestern Wildcats cornerback Rod Heard gave his public commitment to transfer to Notre Dame.

Heard will get his masters degree this spring from Northwestern and won’t officially join the Irish until June — but the CB from Farmington, Michigan, will be wearing a golden helmet in 2024.
The 5-foot-11, 190-pounder has played 46 games in his time at Northwestern.
