The Notre Dame Fighting Irish have already won a game and have risen two spots in the rankings — and have yet to play inside Notre Dame Stadium. That all changes this week as the Irish welcome the New Mexico Lobos to South Bend.
It’s a weird start to a football season for the Irish, and it makes little sense to treat it as anything that is normal. It’s cupcake season, and the flavor of the week is timber wolf.
