The Notre Dame Fighting Irish and Purdue Boilermakers faced off this afternoon in the first game of the Crossroads Classic, live from Bankers Life Fieldhouse in Indianapolis. The two teams came in evenly matched, with Notre Dame sitting at 6-3, and Purdue at 6-4. Purdue started the game with the first basket, and then got the ball back from Notre Dame and followed up with a three to go up by 5; but the Irish responded with a basket of their own, and then evened the score pretty quickly with a big three by TJ Gibbs, Jr.
