Chase Claypool hails from Abbotsford, British Columbia. Claypool has great size, checking in at 6’5″ 205 lbs. Although the Irish recruited him as a Wide Receiver, he may move to Outside Linebacker, Safety or Defensive End in college.

Claypool held offers from Michigan, Mississippi State, Nebraska, Nevada, Oklahoma State, Oregon, Rice, San Diego State, Tennessee, Utah and Washington. Claypool did not receive offers from all 5 Power conferences. However, it is difficult to judge a prospect from across the border. Last year, teams leaped across the border for Ontario product and current Oklahoma Sooner Neville Gallimore.
