Whether or onot you agree with the decision by the Notre Dame Fighting Irish to join the ACC in football for 2020 is of little consequence. They’re doing it, and it’s time to climb aboard that train.
This is a chance that Notre Dame could provide one of the greatest troll jobs in American sports history. If the Irish were to win the ACC in the one and only year they played in a conference for football, and then went right back to being independent in 2021 — well that’s the “extra” that our younger generation craves.
