During the USC game redshirt freshman guard Alex Bars suffered a broken ankle and is out for the season. He's now the 7th Notre Dame player to have his season cut short by injury.
Quenton Nelson (sprained ankle) is healthy again and will return to his left guard spot which he had ceded to Bars for what amounted to almost 2 full games.
