Cole Kmet is making his season debut tonight for the Notre Dame Fighting Irish against the Georgia Bulldogs. After one half of play, Kmet — who just returned from a broken collarbone — has 7 catches for 68 yards and a touchdown.
The touchdown came on a 4th and goal play. Notre Dame shifted their alignment from power to spread and snapped the ball. The play went kind of screwy, and was supposed to go to Tony Jones Jr. in the back of the endzone — but Kmet “intercepted” the pass from Ian Book for the first score of the game.
