Saturday evening's stomping of Texas was all gravy except for the injury bug which bit Notre Dame early in the contest. After carries of 1 and 3 yards, junior tailback Tarean Folston ripped off a 15-yard run but came up limping after the tackle.
Folston was quickly checked out on the sidelines and headed to the locker room, later returning to the sidelines while on crutches.
During Sunday's teleconference with the media Notre Dame head coach Brian Kelly informed the world of the worst news possible. Folston is done for the season.
