Jack Kiser, a three-star linebacker from Pioneer High School, is staying in-state for college, but headed in the opposite direction of Bloomington and West Lafayette.
Kiser verbally committed Tuesday to the Notre Dame Fighting Irish’s 2019 class, rejecting similar overtures from the Indiana Hoosiers, Purdue Boilermakers and a host of other Big Ten schools.
Kiser, at 6-foot-2, 210 pounds, played both linebacker and quarterback for the Panthers last year. He had 100 total tackles and eight interceptions during his junior campaign, according to MaxPreps, including 7 1⁄2 for a loss.
