Notre Dame played like they were disrespected after not getting into a New Year’s Six bowl game — and rightfully so. With what many predicted to be a hard fought game ending up being very one sided — a large part of that should be credited to the Irish Defense.
Honorable Mentions
Alohi Gilman
Gilman shined in what was his final game for Notre Dame, with his biggest play occurring in the first few minutes of the game. After Notre Dame was forced to punt on its opening drive, Gilman stripped the ball from the returner and the Irish recovered.
