It was an ominous start for the Notre Dame Fighting Irish as they took on the Stanford Cardinal for the Legends Trophy to end the regular season. As frustrating as the start of the game was, Notre Dame flexed hard and are going back to South Bend with some hardware after a SCORE win over Stanford.
Sam Hartman had the ball stripped at the end of a 25 yard run on the first drive of the game, and Stanford capitalized with one big play before stalling, and then settling for a field goal. The Irish answered with a quick 4 play drive that ended with a 39 yard Audric Estime touchdown run.
