It was more of the same for the Notre Dame Fighting Irish in a 68-80 loss to the Virginia Cavaliers. It was a mid-day tipoff which many fans may not have seen — which isn’t a bad thing.
We’ll keep this nice and simple because there’s no reason to dive deep into a game that was never in doubt for Virginia. The Irish shot an incredibly lousy 1-13 from 3-point land in the first half. Yes... that’s 7.5% from deep. Neither Prentiss Hubb nor Cormac Ryan scored a single point in the half, but Juwan Durham was doing well with 10 points.
