Keeping up with the Joneses just got a little easier in South Bend, especially after Notre Dame received a commitment from Jamir Jones, the brother of Fighting Irish defensive tackle Jarron Jones.
Jamir Jones is a 6-4, 210-pound three-star class of 2016 outside linebacker that is rated as the No. 2 prospect in New York by Rivals.
Jones had received offers from several major colleges, but had his heart set on going to Notre Dame.
“They were always one of the choices, but there's no better place,'' Jones told the Democrat & Chronicle.
