While eight former Notre Dame Fighting Irish were cut Saturday from NFL teams’ 53-man rosters, the dream lives on for four of them subsequently named to practice squads.
Josh Adams, cut at the Saturday deadline by the Philadelphia Eagles, cleared waivers and is on Super Bowl Champions’ practice squad. The Warrington, Pa. product, who played 2015-2017 for the Irish, received the highest signing bonus — $25,000 — of any undrafted rookie this season.
Cole Luke, who played cornerback for the Irish from 2013-2016, was played on injured reserve and missed the entire year with an ankle injury.
