Notre Dame Football: Riley Leonard is injured... but still starting

Related Topics: Riley Leonard, Steve Angeli

On Monday, Notre Dame football held its normal press conference on Monday and Marcus Freeman was adamant that Riley Leonard wasn’t just their starting quarterback — but at no time did he think about putting Steve Angeli into the game after Leonard hurt his non-throwing shoulder.

Blue & Gold and On3’s Pete Nakos have confirmed with sources that Leonard injured his left labrum taking a hit against the Huskies. The Fighting Irish signal-caller underwent an MRI on his non-throwing shoulder over the weekend, which revealed the ailment.
