This past weekend demonstrated the volatility of college football to a tee. On any given Saturday, anyone can beat anyone (aside from maybe Alabama). But Saturday afternoon, Notre Dame football had the biggest scare of the season to date, with a come from behind victory over the Pitt Panthers, 19-14.
Defensively, the unit was stout the entire game — aside from the first drive — and really kept the Irish in this one.
Offensively, I don’t really know how to explain it. It was just one of those Notre Dame games that made you scratch your head.
