I would never doubt Marcus Freeman’s ability to be a confident person, but there have been times over the last few years as the head coach of the Notre Dame football program that his inexperience of being a head coach caused a giant spotlight to shine on the tougher moments during his tenure. While week one in itself isn't as tough as dealing with a loss, or bad coaching, or injuries — it does offer a glimpse as just how comfortable a coach is with his team and his situation.
Judging by Marcus Freeman’s press conference, I think it’s safe to say that he has grown into his role as the head coach of this program.
