With spring football over, or almost over, for most college football programs across the country, the picture gets a little clearer for those seeking a transfer. Former Notre Dame running back C.J. Holmes is most likely one of those that is looking for a new home.
Holmes was dismissed from the program in December along with wide receiver Kevin Stepherson and defensive lineman Brandon Tiassum. The talented ball carrier from Connecticut got in trouble in South Bend while shoplifting from a Macy’s department store with the aforementioned Stepherson.
There was some speculation early on in this ordeal that there may be a possible path back to the Notre Dame football team for Holmes.
