On Wednesday night, Notre Dame football landed 2019 linebacker Marist Liufau out of Hawaii. Liufau was on campus with his family this past weekend for the Florida State game, received an offer from the staff, and clearly felt the visit blew him away enough to pull the trigger and officially commit to the Irish. He holds 10 offers from the likes of USC, Oregon, and Boise State among others.
Liufau will be joining fellow Hawaiian natives in safety Alohi Gilman and defensive tackle Myron Tagovailoa-Amosa. He also comes from the same high school as from Notre Dame linebacker great Manti Te’o, along with former wide receiver Robby Toma.
