Notre Dame Football: Franklin Could Add Much-Needed Depth to Irish Defensive Line

The Notre Dame football team is looking to fill a few pretty big holes on the defensive side of the football. Two of those holes come at the interior of the Irish defensive line. Gone is the steady Jonathan Bonner and the play-making Jerry Tillery to anchor the Irish defense.

The good news for the Irish, though, is that there are many candidates ready to step into significant roles on the defense. One of the names with which Irish fans should become familiar is that of Jamion Franklin.

Franklin is a 6-foot-1 rising sophomore, weighing in at 308 pounds, according to Notre Dame’s official website.
