There were a flurry of transfer portal entries from Notre Dame Fighting Irish football players after their loss to Alabama in the Rose Bowl. One of those names was defensive end Ovie Oghoufo. On Tuesday, Oghoufo announced his commitment to transfer to play for the Texas Longhorns.
The Michigan native played a small role for the Irish in 2020 as part of a rotation at the VYPER, but with what Notre Dame is bringing back in 2021 — that role didn’t look like it was going to get more work.
