The Notre Dame Fighting Irish will compete against the Marshall Thundering Herd in football for the first time in 2022, the West Virginia college announced Monday.
The Herd will visit Notre Dame Stadium on Sept. 10, one week after the Irish travel to Columbus to open their season against the Ohio State Buckeyes.
“Notre Dame is one of the most prestigious programs in all of college football and a trip to South Bend, Indiana, should be on every fan’s bucket list,” said Marshall Athletics Director Mike Hamrick in a release.
