The Notre Dame football program has won 15 of its last 17 games dating back to the start of last season, including a 3-1 start this year after a 35-20 win on Saturday against Virginia, but in some parts of the fan base, you would think the perennial sky is falling.
That’s probably due in large part to the fact that returning quarterback Ian Book has thrown just three touchdown passes in the three other games against a team missing their former head coach (New Mexico) and that the rushing attack is only averaging 147.5 yards per contest on the ground so far this campaign.
