Depending on what you consider a breakout, there are a handful of guys on Notre Dame’s football team that can be considered – but for this article, a loose interpretation is my criteria. Chase Claypool, Chris Finke, Cole Kmet, and Tony Jones Jr. are all gone from the offense, so there are plenty of shoes to fill in 2020.
Fortunately for the Irish, the receiver/tight end group looks to be in good hands with many former top-notch recruits on the roster ready for the chance – not to mention Notre Dame usually doesn’t have an issue finding a go-to weapon.
