The 2024 home opener for the Notre Dame Fighting Irish is finally here, and the boys welcome the Northern Illinois Huskies to South Bend for some midwest fellowship. The Irish are riding high after the 23-13 win over the Texas A&M Aggies in College Station, and we’ve already seen a lot of ND doubters do a little bit of a 180.
Still — there is plenty more we need to see from the Irish if they are to truly make a run in the college football playoff, and that’s what the 11 games remaining on the schedule are for (and for fun — this is supposed to be fun).
