Well folks, another Crossroads Classic has come and gone, and the Notre Dame Fighting Irish men’s basketball team has once again blown a substantial lead and lost to an opponent they should have blown out.
After having done the very same thing the past two years against the Indiana Hoosiers and Purdue Boilermakers, the #18 Fighting Irish once again showed a lack of killer instinct and an inability to make winning plays in crunch time, losing 80-77 in an overtime thriller on Saturday afternoon to IU.
Unluckily for me, I was there taking in the sights and sounds and a very uneventful halftime show, so let’s dive in and see if we can explain away this terrible feeling ND fans feel today.
