On Tuesday night, the 10-12 Notre Dame Fighting Irish baseball team hosted the Chicago State Cougars. Coming off a tough series loss to Florida State over the weekend, ND needed a confidence-building win. They got it by a score of 6-3.
The most notable aspect of the win was Notre Dame’s effectiveness when it came to base running. The Irish stole 14 bases on the day: the most by any D1 team in a single game since 2017 and the most ever in a single game by any ACC squad.
Also sets a new @ACCBaseball single-game record, breaking the previous mark of 12 set by NC State versus William & Mary on April 17,1990!
