Well folks, another ranked opponent has come and gone, and the Notre Dame Fighting Irish men’s basketball team has once again managed to play them very close but ultimately wilt down the stretch, unable to close things out.
The Irish fell at home to the #17 North Carolina State Wolfpack on Saturday afternoon, losing 77-73 in a game where NC State was perpetually allowing ND to chip away at 5 or 6-point leads but never really let them pull ahead. Notre Dame once again struggled to shoot the ball, making just 41% of their shots overall while shooting an abysmal 25% from three point range.
