Malik Zaire to have walking boot removed soon

United States

Mountain View

In the second game of the season, the Notre Dame Fighting Irish suffered a big loss when quarterback Malik Zaire went down with a nasty ankle injury. However, DeShone Kizer came in and did a nice job for the Irish and has them at 8-1 and ranked sixth in the country, with their only loss being a two-point deficit to the number one team in the country.

It seems as though the team could have a bit of a controversy at the quarterback position very soon. According to College Football Talk, Notre Dame head coach Brian Kelly reported that Zaire is scheduled to have his walking boot removed in two weeks.
