SOUTH BEND, Ind. (AP) Notre Dame coach Brian Kelly has announced running back Greg Bryant will not play for the Irish this season, saying he failed to meet expectations.
Kelly previously had suspended Bryant for the first four games of this season for violating team rules. Kelly said Tuesday Bryant is permitted to practice, but will not occupy a spot on the 105-man roster. Bryant, who is from Delray Beach, Florida, was second on the team in rushing last season with 289 yards on 54 carries, a 5.
