We didn’t know it at the time, but the final chapter was written and the page ready to be turned for Demetrius Jackson late Sunday night in Philly after a difficult loss to North Carolina in the East Regional Final of the NCAA Tournament.
Jackson had just scored a game-high 26 points — one short of his career high — to cap a four-game run in the NCAA Tournament where he played some of the best basketball of his career, averaging 17.8 points and making countless clutch and game-deciding plays as an NCAA All-East Regional Tournament Team selection.
