Hall of Famers Tim Brown and Jerome Bettis Mention Notre Dame In Induction Speeches

Both Hall of Famers Tim Brown and Jerome Bettis mentioned their time at Notre Dame during their induction speeches on Saturday. The University of Notre Dame and, more specifically, Lou Holtz made a tremendous impact on both Brown and Bettis.

Former Oakland Raider Tim Brown discussed his time at Notre Dame and specifically his relationship with Lou Holtz. Brown said, “He believed in me more than I believed in myself.” (His discussion of Notre Dame begins here at 6:30).

Tim Brown, Notre Dame Class of 1988, won the 1987 Heisman Trophy. As an Irish player, Brown hauled in 137 receptions for 2493 with 12 touchdowns.
